When They Don’t See the Vision: Move On, Move Forward

GetYourTailsUp

A meaningful vision isn’t something you simply think up, it’s something you receive. It’s a quiet stirring deep inside your soul, often planted by God or born through lived experience. It shows up as a dream, a direction, a knowing. But as strong as that vision may be in your heart, you may find that others just… don’t see it.

They may not understand why you’re so passionate. They may question your decisions. Some may try to pull you back into their comfort zone because your growth challenges their stillness. And in those moments, you have a choice: wait for them to catch up, or walk forward in faith anyway.

The Vision Was Given to You… Not Them

It’s important to remember: your vision is yours for a reason. God didn’t hold a community meeting before planting it in your heart. He chose you. That means you’re the one who must nurture it, believe in it, and build it, even when no one else understands.

Trying to gain universal approval will only delay your progress. People can’t support what they haven’t experienced. That doesn’t make them wrong, it just makes them unqualified to validate your purpose.

Discern Who Deserves Access

Not everyone has earned the right to hear your plans. Some people will misunderstand them, others will misuse them. Be wise about where you plant the seeds of your vision. Share with those who water, not with those who trample.

When you feel unsupported, it’s not always rejection, it’s redirection. Learn to walk with those who value your vision or learn to walk alone. Both are blessings.

Walk in the Strength of Your “Why”

The deeper your reason, the stronger your resolve. When doubt comes knocking, your “why” will answer the door. Ask yourself: Why does this matter to me? What’s at stake if I give up? Who am I becoming through this process?

Don’t measure the worth of your vision by the applause it gets. Measure it by the peace and passion it stirs within you.

Faith Is a Solo Journey First

Before faith becomes a movement, it begins as a personal walk. Sometimes, the road feels quiet. You may not have a team, a crowd, or even a cheerleader. But if you have clarity and calling, you have enough to take the next step.

Don’t be afraid to walk alone. You’re never truly alone when God gave you the assignment.

Let Go to Grow

Let go of needing everyone to agree with you. Let go of needing everyone to walk with you. You can love people deeply and still leave them behind when their presence keeps you small. Growth requires space. Vision demands motion.

If they don’t understand now, that’s okay. In time, they may come to see it. Or they may not. But either way, you move forward. Always a blessing.
