The Many Roles of My Life

My life began with me being a human being first. Before all the titles, responsibilities, and expectations, I was simply me, a person learning how to live, love, grow, and find my place in this world.

I became a daughter. I became someone’s niece, someone’s sister, someone’s cousin, and a part of a family that helped shape the person I would become. As life continued, I took on even more meaningful roles. I became someone’s wife and then someone’s mother.

With each season of my life came new responsibilities, new lessons, and new parts of myself that I had yet to discover.

As I have gotten older, I have grown into a loving caregiver. I have learned how to give of myself, how to be present for others, and how to carry responsibilities that are sometimes heavier than anyone can see. Caregiving has taught me about patience, compassion, strength, and unconditional love.

But through all the roles I have carried, I have also learned something very important: I must believe in myself first. I must care for my own heart, honor my own journey, and recognize my own worth. Because when I am grounded in who I am, I can better love, support, encourage, and care for others.

I am a woman of many titles, but I am more than any one title. I am still growing. I am still learning. I am still becoming.

And through every stage of my life, I remain grateful for the woman I have become, and for the woman I am still becoming.

In our Journeys, we should always Own it, Fight it, Survive it and Live it.
